INAV configurator restart when click Alignment tool on demo mode
I found that INAV configurator 8.0.1 on demo mode always restart when I click Alignment tool. Other tabs are OK

Because you are in CLI Mode. To end CLI mode, the FC has to reboot. This reboot causes a disconnect and is expected. Nothing wrong there.
So every time you enter CLI you MUST reboot and reconnect the FC before you can any other tab again.

Well, that's why it is important to provide issue reports with proper information. There is a reason why there is a content template when opening a new ticket, that you completely ignored and deleted.
For me the specific tabs works. It can happen that occasionally I get a disconnect. There is a stability issue present in configurator that we still try to pin down with no luck so far. But in your case I think its just a faulty configuration.
make a CLI backup of your config if necessary. Then type in defaults to reset the config to firmware defaults. Then try again.

Maybe there was some confusion here. I am a different reporter than the one who opened the ticket. In the original post is all the information I needed to try and see if I was having the same issue. Including the video.
Where is this content template?
Side note, for me the same issue happens if I try to use demo mode on 8.0.0. Iv never used Demo mode before so very possible I dont have something set right but I thought id try to replicate the OP issue on 8.0.0.
It gives me ":12:50 -- MSP connection successfully closed
2025-06-07 @ 21:12:50 -- Error: read ECONNRESET"
However on 8.0.0 but with the FC on 8.0.1 I can connect to a quad and then go to the alignment tool with no issue.
And now upgrading back to 8.0.1 I can again access the alignment tool tab when connected to my drown.
If I try it in demo mode I get the same as the op, closing the connection. The error is the same as on 8.0.0 for me.

For me connection reset 100% of the time within 1 second of clicking on the alignment tab in demo mode for 8.0.1 & 8.0.0
