macOS - SITL - Unable to Select Serial Port for RC

On the macOS version of the 8.0.1 Configurator, I can't select a serial port for RC in the SITL tab.

There also seems to be an issue with the SITL executable, but this is not related to the Configurator itself:

This bug does not occur in the Linux .deb or Windows 64-bit .msi versions.
