RadiomasterGX12

Open Zac970 opened this issue 3 months ago • 8 comments

Hello, I have a new RadiomasterGX12 and I wanted to install INAV Telemetry which I downloaded here. I got the message: syntax error inav.lua version mismatch in precompiled chunk bug. I upgraded EdgeTX and ExpressLRS to the latest version hoping that would solve the problem. It didn't help.

I don't have enough experience and I don't know what the problem is. If anyone can help me, I would be grateful.

I followed the procedure on YT from Painless360, Complete INAV telemetry setup overview (GX12, EdgeTX, LUA Script on ELRS)

Are you using the _lua version of the script from here https://github.com/iNavFlight/OpenTX-Telemetry-Widget/releases/tag/v.2.3.0 ?

If not that's probably a good place to start. Note there are two zips at the link, latest version of edgetx needs the second one but the painless360 video says to use the first one no matter what.

Also make sure to delete the luac if you replace the script lua

Image I downloaded it where I marked in the picture. Should I copy LUA again? Should I delete Lua and Luac first?

That's the one I was talking about. It wouldn't hurt to delete try deleting the lua and luac incase you forget to delete the luac before then try reinstalling. It will rebuild that file.

I deleted Lua and Luac. I copied and replaced the files in the destination. I deleted Lua and Luac. I copied and replaced the files in the destination. To the root of the radio memory. Lua and Luac were created anew. But the same message still appears. Do I need to do something in the system menu after installation? On the transmitter.

Any idea on what could be causing this " inav.lua version mismatch in precompiled chunk" error? I've had a few report this on my setup video for the GX12 and am happy to make more content explaining how to fix it.... Thanks again for a fab LUA script! Happy flying!

Also ran into the exact same issue with the radiomaster GX12.

@Painless360 did the opposite as was explained in your video. I used the second zip with lua in the name. I did remove all the files manually from the radiomaster, then copied over the other files and it works.

I do have the latest version of elrs and on the installation page it said you had to use the lua zip on newer versions.

I had the same problem, GX12 with latest version of edgeTX. The error doesn't appear when there's no telemetry. The previous version of the widget 2.2.5 works.
