The screen goes black when you listen to a voice and pass your hand near the selfie

Isn't this expected? It behaves like you've put the phone to your ear, right?

What's the usecase of the hand?

Not really expected but yes it's like putting phone to ear. It's really annoying, you can't do anything while you're listening, passing your hand in front of the screen sends it to sleep, even if you can't listen in the background at the moment.
