Disabling notifications for a contact doesn't work for incoming calls

Conversations has an option to disable notifications for a certain contact. But I've found that it doesn't work for incoming calls. The phone still rings on incoming call from a contact even if I disable notifications for that contact. I just want to mute a contact that sometimes annoys me without fully blocking him. Is it possible to disable notifications for incoming calls too?
