Character Sprites get all screwed up in Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver
Describe the bug A clear and concise description of what the bug is.
When playing Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, all of the character sprites get corrupted within the first few minutes of playing the game. All characters and Pokemon either turn into a bunch of black squares, scribbled lines, or just don't render at all. See the below picture for example.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Launch the game and go through the intro.
- Play the game like you normally would.
- Eventually, within the first few minutes, all of the character sprites will suddenly turn corrupted. Usually happens after a loading transition, such as entering/exiting a building.
Expected behavior Character sprites are not supposed to turn corrupted at all during gameplay for any reason.

The black square in the center is the player. The assortment of black lines toward the bottom is an NPC, and for some NPCs their sprites don't even show at all, leaving only the little circle shadow to show that they're there, like directly to the upper left of the player.

- OS: iOS 11.3.1 (Jailbroken w/ unc0ver)

Another person replied with a link to a Romulation forum thread. The thread links a patched ROM that they said solved this issue for them. https://forum.romulation.net/threads/pokemon-hg-ss-original-ap-patched-usa-eur.58215/
I tried this patched ROM from the link above and I still got corrupted character sprites within the first couple minutes of gameplay.
This happens to me as well, on the regular rom, and randomized ones. Has anyone tried it with the emulator for PC?
I have had this issue on iNDS. For me, simply entering a building and then exiting fixes it. This was an older client though 1.5.4 I think.
I think iNDS version 1.9.1 is solution. It not bug and run very well for me.
This happens to me too, also the audio is not smooth, and frequent frame drops

This is a common Issue between all Desmume based emulators it is solved by saving (hard save as in in-game save) and restarting the rom. This happens is a emulation glitch. It only happens every so often in this game, as far as I am aware. Again this happens on almost all emulators including desktop Desmume.
In iNDS, the glitch occurs in several locations, Here are a few
New Bark Town (Mainly) Azalea Town Gym; near the entrance Mahogany Town; inside the gym. Blackthorn Gym There should be a patch update that fixes these issues. In addition I want the creators of iNDS to target these specific areas and fix them. We fans would appreciate that.

I have yet to get around to testing it again though
