Livestream audio cuts in and out
Opening a livestream in playlet starts normally but after a few seconds the audio starts a cycle of cutting in and out every few seconds. Watching the same livestram in the regular youtube roku app does not exhibit this issue.
Can you share more information to help me reproduce the issue? What kind of device you have? Playlet version os version etc Does it happen consistently or sometimes? Only live streams? All live streams? Other types of videos?
Sorry, wasn't sure what info was necessary.
- Device: Hisense Roku TV, software ver. 14.6
- App: ver. 0.40.9
- Occurs only for livestreams, regular videos are fine; haven't been able to confirm how frequently, only observed yesterday when attempting to watch a livestream I was planning on viewing
Thanks for confirming. I haven't seen this issue before, and currently can't reproduce. I have some guesses, but hard to confirm. I'll keep an eye on this. Please let me know if this problem is persistent for you, or is was mostly an isolated issue. Thanks
Hey, sorry I only just now managed to test again. Tried playing another livestream a few different ways (with phone remote, with regular tv app menu, etc) and this time the livestream played with uninterrupted audio, but encountered the well known bit rate error after ~30 sec each time. I recall this error happening the first time too, when I encountered the intermittent audio. So it seams the audio issue is not consistent.
P.S. this most recent test was on app ver. 0.40.10
Thanks for confirming. Currently my focus will be on https://github.com/iBicha/playlet/issues/626 and once that's fixed we can see if the issue continues
Do you still see this on live streams?
Actually yes, saw it today paired with stuttering video on a livestream that worked fine when viewed on other apps. Could watch for ~1 min before I got the bitrate error.
You are right, the recent fix for the error doesn't cover live videos yet, it's still a problem
turn off playlet's built-in proxy, then close and reopen the app. fixed the audio for me
