ATV3 + Plexconnect => “Red Bull TV not available. Try later”

Hello I get a old AppleTV 3gen… and want to try to watch plex with it. I found this plexconnect way and try to install it on the same server as the plex server.

Plexconnect launch without any warning I have install the cert with apple configurator (USB way) => when trying with the remote control it does not works... And when launching redbull tv (Or kortv, vevo, ...)

I can see in the log it seem’s to works : DNSServer: Domain: appletv.redbull.tv DNSServer: ***intercept request DNSServer: → DNS response: 192.168.X.Y (My IP Plexconnect / plex server IP)

But I get in the screen of the TV a message : “Red Bull TV not available. Try later” and no other log il the log file…

Any idea what does not works in my conf? Or how I can debug?

Would it be possible for you to share your "Settings.cfg" files?

What is your architecture? Plex on a server + plexconnect on the same server + APTV V3? or you have jailbreak the APTV and install plexconnect on it ?

I have PlexConnect and Plex Media Server installed on the same machine (QNAP NAS with X64 architecture). I have GDM enabled, and also authorized the local lan in PMS.

My ATV3 has no jailbreak. I don't know if jailbreak is still available, but in case it is available and you install PlexConnect in the ATV3 pls note that you will be forced to use GDM because, due to the old version of base software, you will not be able to login to plex.tv to enjoy home users, shared libraries, etc.

My main "problem" is that I'm not able to intercept KorTV's icon and display the Plex icon instead. Probably KorTV's icon is no longer fetched from com.wkntv.appletv and I don't know how to discover the new url.

My error where in the nginx configuration. I have other service listening on port 80 and 443 and I change the port in plexconnect to listen to 81 and 444 but the way I do it was wrong. I have to works on this subjet (I have temporarly deactivate nginx to test on port 80 and 443)

What about launching au wireshark dump when going in the APTV main menu to see if the KorTV is get each time? have you try ?

I had a similar problem a looong time ago with PlexConnect installed in a Syno NAS.

Wonderfull this plexconnect.conf exemple.... Indeed I was missing some proxy_set_header! And the most important the pem and key pass for the 443 SSL
