VxKex vxkex not working with windows 8.1

when i try to run the setup of vxkex i get this error "The elevated setup process exited with an error code: 0xc0000005"

VxKex is not made for windows 8.1 . You are the only one using windows 8.1 in 2025 😄 . (Its a lot of work (I think) and the dev cant fix all issues now so it might never work on windows 8.1 😢 .)

Try VxKex NEXT. The latest version allows a few of new apps to run on Win 8.1, but it is still designed for Win 7 only.

Me too! :) One of my PCs (Lenovo B580) is still running Windows 8.1: I don't see a reason to downgrade it to Windows 7 or upgrade to Windows 10.
