I used model 4.0, scale = 4, exp = 4, practical-rife
Hello, the v4.0 model seems to be abnormal for the scale > 2. I don't know the specific reason.
Thanks @hzwer for the information. Could you give me the link to the best model that is best for anime?
As far as I know, many people are using this version: https://github.com/hzwer/arXiv2020-RIFE/issues/41#issuecomment-785548531 Maybe it’s helpful to check the comment of flowframes https://nmkd.itch.io/flowframes
how about the version 2.4 which was also commented on https://github.com/hzwer/arXiv2020-RIFE/issues/41#issuecomment-785548531. Could you give me google download link for version 2.3 and 2.4, I want to try them both! Thank you @hzwer

quality (both 2D and 3D): 2.3 > 2.4 > 4.0 > 3.1 > 3.9 > 3.8 speed: 4.0 > 3.9 > 3.8 > 3.1 > 2.3/2.4
I don't recommend using other versions as they are either redundant or broken.
Thanks @PweSol for the reply. How about --scale
?, raising that value does not make the video smoother at all, and sometimes it creates a laggy video

I'm not sure but model 2.3 created slightly more distortions than model 4.0

It is possible. However, in majority of cases 2.3 wins.
