Bug or Regression?

Bug

Description

I started using Hyprland after months, sometimes, windows randomly launch stacked on top of each other andd the only way to fix it is to close the window.

How to reproduce

I tried updateing Hyprland as someone suggested from the server, but the issue still persists.

is this reproducible? if not, we can classify this as ghosts in your computer

It happens when I launch a new window and switch workspces. So I guess it is?

every time? can I get your config and exact repro steps?

No, not every time. It just happens randomly. Here's my config

I get this as well. It sends windows to workspace "-98" when I check hyprctl clients.

Edit: Think I figured it out. These togglespecialworkspace bindings were using the same bindings as another. I had:

bind = $mainMod, S, exec, wofi --no-lazy-grab --show drun --modi drun --theme kde-runner

# Example special workspace (scratchpad)
bind = $mainMod, S, togglespecialworkspace, magic

So I commented out the togglespecialworkspace one and it doesn't happen anymore. @Schwarzeisc00l Looks like your config has the same conflicting bindings.
