[Request] Pi 4 USB boot support

Open ZetaPhoenix opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

Stefan, I have updated my Pi 4 to allow USB booting and was eventually able to get the 0.12.1 image to boot after copping over just the new Pi 4 start.elf and fixup.dat files to the SDD. Is there a chance that at some point that these update files can be included by default?

Would this be after the USB feature gets out of beta?

When trying to copy the files over using a PC, I kept getting out of disk space on the boot partition and had to do each file individually and trying to update the remaining files with rpi-update I got a warning regarding the small boot partition(#346) and aborted the rpi-update.
