Steps to reproduce

Example where document equivalence is already established

  1. Visit https://legendmakers.bibleodyssey.com/people/main-articles/hagar/
  2. Open the browser dev tools and delete the following element: <link rel="canonical" href="https://bibleodyssey.org/people/main-articles/hagar/">
  3. Annotate the page
  4. Refresh the page
  5. Annotate the page
  6. Refresh the page and delete the canonical statement as needed to demonstrate the issue.

Example where document equivalence has not yet been established

  • Follow the above steps, but on pages where we have not established document equivalence, making sure to delete the canonical statement before annotating the first time, and then refreshing the page and leaving the canonical statement in there on subsequent annotations.
  • Suggested site that does not have document equivalence at this time: https://legendmakers.bibleodyssey.com/places/main-articles/laodicea/

Expected behaviour

After document equivalence is established annotations on both URLs should show up when searching for the annotations on either URL.

Actual behaviour

Annotations made prior to document equivalence seem to not appear.
