Desktop and Mobile versions

Is there currently or in sight any prospects of a desktop app where one could annotate their own documents? (unless this is what roam research does already). Also, an Android version would be desirable, given the amount of notes one takes in their phones online. Thanks!

Hello,

We don't have plans in the near term to create separate desktop or mobile applications, though we have discussed various options for improving the mobile web experience of the client. We may also be able to bring our extension to mobile browsers in future (eg. Firefox on Android or Safari on iOS). You can however annotate PDFs that are stored on your local system using the Chrome extension.

Thanks. Actually, a better Android support would be welcome as a great amount of the time most people are browsing and reading on those devices.

Preorder subscription. It won't be open and free.

It is Open Source, but you might have to pay something in the future for using their cloud service...
