Consider using pin icon for pin annotations

I believe some issues have been raised in the past that this pin icon is too difficult to see against images, hence why a yellow circle is currently being used instead. A compromise might be to draw the pin icon and also draw the yellow circle at the target point of the pin.

Yes, exactly. I found the pin required effort to spot in the image used in this issue description, taken from the mocks. The opaque pin also obscures more of the underlying image content.

A compromise might be to draw the pin icon and also draw the yellow circle at the target point of the pin.

I did experiment with this but for the reason I mentioned above about obscuring the content underneath, I wasn't a huge fan.
