Add SSL/TLS support to client and daemon

Open danielbodart opened this issue 10 years ago • 5 comments

It would be great if the hyper client and daemon supported TLS for communication. This would allow me to do remote administration without the need to setup a VPN or SSH / SSL tunnel.

Nice to have would be if this worked with the same command line options as docker or it could use the docker machine / swarm setup in '~/.docker/machine' I.e client certificates etc.

Thanks!

One question: are you building a multi-tenant CaaS with Hyper?

Well I'm building a multi-tenant build system on bare metal. The plan is to use Hyper to protect the base OS and of course users from each other.

I wasn't planning for the users to have their own SSL certificate, my control software (and me remotely) would be the only people/machines with certificates.

@xiaods

Yeah, that's great. You can contact me if you need any help on implementing this feature. Both Slack and Wechat are all right.

@danielbodart

Just FYI, we are working on HyperStack, which is scheduled to release next month. Guess that might be interesting to you.
