Gatsby 5 support?

Hello!

I have tried to run a GraphCMS project with Gatsby 5, but the build process crashes with the info on the screenshot.

Now, I am aware that the plugin hasn't been updated in a while. However, I would like to ask:

  • Have any other users managed to run their projects with Gatsby 5?
  • Are there any plans for updating the plugin in order to support Gatsby 5?

I use gatsby 5 too. I saw that Hygraph pushes towards integration with Gatsby Cloud directly. However, I find this library quite handy to use with Gatsby, as I'm hosting my app elsewhere. Any chance of migrating it to Gatsby v5?

I asked their support recently and they said no. "We won't be continuing work on our Gatsby plugin and deprecate it soon So for the time being there will be no ETA to offer support for Gatsby v5. If there are any general graphql plugins, we recommend to use these"

I wish I would've read this sooner. Any reason why they're pulling away from Gatsby?

What are folks gravitating to pull content from Hygraph if it's not for this plugin? Roll your own? Any example repos from folks who are still pulling this data on gatsby5?
