How can I tell if my SFP module is working?

I got my Nokia G-010S-A a few days ago and connected it to a TP-Link media converter (MC220L). What's the best way to tell if my SFP module actually works? I did all the required steps, even did the pin 6 mod but no ping ping 192.168.1.10.
