[Feature Request] Image viewer
I absolutely LOVE Screenbox, it is exactly what I needed. My only wish was that I could view images (basic formats at the very least) in it too, similarly to how Windows Media Player works. That way Screenbox would be a complete alternative to WMP and I could remove that garbage from my computer forever!
VLC already does this, and I'm no coder but since Screenbox is built off of LibVLC this could be fairly easy to implement?

Yes actually, LibVLC supports images so displaying them is trivial. You can drag and drop images in the playlist and the app will "play" it. Screenbox just doesn't have the features to properly support images like zooming and panning. I don't see how image playback in a media player would be useful. Can you explain your use case a bit more?
If you made it to where you could open image files with Screenbox, you could replace Windows Media Player (which does handle photos) completely with Screenbox which is ideal for someone looking for a free and open source alternative to their Windows applications.
Also, there aren't any image viewing applications that have a cohesive UI like Screenbox does besides ImageGlass, and ImageGlass is super bloated and has popups everywhere and stuff and It's annoying.
It would be nice to have one app that can do everything you need. I would like to be able to uninstall Windows Media Player and replace it with Screenbox as a 1 to 1 alternative.
In other words, I would like to double click on a JPEG file and have it open in Screenbox instead of Windows Media Player. It doesn't need any editing features or anything like that. I just want to view images.
I suppose you could also make a dedicated image viewing app that has Screenbox's UI but that seems unnecessary
While not quite the same thing, ImageGlass makes for an excellent image viewer with some baseline editing features. It's worth checking out, @candroid-man.
