New vs. New Window

I was a bit confused when using the New option and it kept the existing filename. Fortunately I didn't try to save, but I expected it at least to create a new "Untitled" file. As far as I can tell, "New" is similar to what would be "Clear" or "Clear All" for example in Gimp, whereas "New Window" is more similar to what is called "New" in most software, such as Gimp or Office. What do you think?

Good catch, the "New" should be "Clear", and "New Window" will be "New", will change in next release. Thanks!
