Request/question: implement service connection as authentication option

Hi,

I would like to know is there any limitations why service connection authentication is not used for this task? If it is planned when could we expect this functionality?

Hi @Radamonas and thanks for reaching out.

As far as I remember it was not so simple to do when this task was initially done and there might have been limitations - to be honest I'm not sure anymore.

I think it certainly could be valuable (and nice(r)) to use now. However currently I don't have plans to implement this. Mainly because I simply lack the time to properly sit down and implement the functionality.

We can keep the issue open and I could update you in case I'm planning to implement it.
