Screen background visual effect not working

Describe the bug Currently setting attributes.screenBackground to any of the visual effects results in a total loss of background, I've fiddled around with every possible attribute variable to make it work but I finally gave up and tried getting help (and checking if this is a bug or not) here. entryBackground, windowLevel, shadow, none seem to have any effect on the blurred background, been changing them to every possible option and result is always the same.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: 1- make any EKAlertMessageView ( I've used one of the popup examples) 2- change the attributes.screenBackground to any of the blur visual effects

Expected behavior background should be see through blurred over
