Issue with dynamic updates

Good evening,

I have found that 95% of the time any custom container templates I make do not update across the site in places they are used. For example I have an 'announcements' container template which I have embedded on most of the pages on my site which I will update weekly. The issue is that it seemingly used to update the template contents everywhere it was in use but now it doesn't and so I have to go and edit each page, remove the template, and re-add it for it to show the correct content. This is not scaleable and it definitely was functioning originally so I need to know if there is a way of forcing it to update the content or something.

have you tried clearing the cache?

Administration -> Settings -> Advanced -> Caching

Hi @luke- I have yes but the issue persists. I currently have it set to the default which is "Cache Backend - File" and "Default Expire Time - 3600"
