Missing edit menu for custom snippet templates

Custom pages that are based on templates have an edit menu (pencil) that includes an option to “Edit elements” which allows all of the template container elements to be edited at once.

This same ability would be useful for custom snippets as well, but is missing. This makes it impossible to edit template elements that are not part of the visible HTML (e.g. element attributes).
