deal with double/tripple events if the same event is published in different space calendars

Open JK742020 opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

If there are i.e. three spaces where I want the same event to be published those events will be listet three times in the Upcomming-Event-Snippet on the dashboard and in the main calendar.

Would be great to only see it once.

There definetly should only be one event created by one space. Perhaps spaces should be able to add events from other spaces (only in the calendar view) for this use-case. Also public events should be visible in the global calendar (not 100% sure if this is the case for non member spaces at the moment).

To be able to add events from other spaces (only in the calendar view) seems to be a really good workaround!

Maybe this could be part of a new release.

When creating a new event there could be one more tab (besides the 4 existing at the moment). Something like "publish in another space too" or named different. There could be a pulldown where the existing spaces are offered or there is just an entry field and the spaces are offered after typing at least 3 letters. Behind there should be a plus-symbol to get another row and so on.

In external Calendar the should also be the same possibility I think.

Underneath the URL part there could be the Headline "publish in another space too" and the possibility to enter the desired spaces like described above.
