Status of project & relation to FSharp.Compiler.PortaCode

Hi,

Great project! I remember seeing it years ago, and am just taking another look now. I have an interest in improving the inner loop of F# development. Do you have any sense of how difficult it would be to bring this project up to date with the latest .NET/F# version? Also, I am curious to understand how this project differs from FSharp.Compiler.PortaCode (which also needs some love and hasn't been updated in quite some time).
