optimum-quanto 0.25 requires ninja but 'pip check flux' reports 'ninja-1.11.1.1 is not supported on this platform'

I am no expert on Linux, Ubuntu, Python, pip, Flux.1-dev or any of this technology so forgive me if this is something obvious and something I did wrong somewhere.

As just a dumb artist looking to get into AI, I am setting up a home server using second-hand tech, an old rack server, bits donated by friends and learning as I go. I am very sorry in advance if this is an obvious Ubuntu thing I should know how to fix instantly. I apologize in advance.

I am not sure I've even run optimum-quanto in any of my python files.

I have;

  • Ubuntu 24.* server with only CLI
  • FLUX.1-dev
  • NO GUI (no Comfy-UI etc and only running Python files in a .venv)
  • NO GPU (only CPU while trying to get an old math accel card to work)
  • 192GB of RAM fitted to the server
  • XEONS in the 56xx range so NO AVX instructions
  • OpenBLAS
  • a love of old potatoes

Does this mean it will crash when I do try to run it?
