Strip newline and whitespace characters from pasted text

There are some programs where, when I paste into a field, the newline/whitespace is stripped and leaves me with just the relevant text. I am often copying and pasting from other programs into porymap, but if the inputted text is multiple lines, the paste fails.

Is there a way to strip newlines/whitespace to avoid this behavior?
