Cannot connect my domain
Hello, I just want to say thank you in advance for any help I receive. I have run out of ideas troubleshooting, so maybe someone has experienced the same sort of issue and can help out.
My current setup is Ubuntu 20.04 running on Windows 10 Hyper-V. I will say I am new to the world of VM's (and basically any deep concept of computers). For the last two-three months I have been playing on Ubuntu as much as humanly possible. I have learned a lot. but still probably a noob to the vast majority on here.
My Ubuntu VM is running all the necessary requirements. I run a simple discord bot on docker, but that's my only experience with Compose.
Here, i cloned the rep to my $DOCKEDIR, moved over .yml and .env and the rules to a new folder in the $DOCKERDIR. I didnt want to just fire everything up at once for a number of reasons--but mostly to learn how everything works. I decided it would be best for my situation to first fire up Docker-Socket, Traefik, and Portainer as the first set ups and then move on from there. Im still stuck on this step...
Since I have been tinkering with this for so long trying different things, (and not really knowing what Im doing) my .yml and rules are empty besides tls-opts.yml.
I was able to fire up the containers with the changes. I got a valid certificate, and was verified by CloudFlare through email. The logs showed no major errors on the output that I saw, but I could not access through localhost:9000. At one point i was able to get onto traefik through <server-ip>:8080, but now i cannot. **I am able to get onto Portainer through http://192.168.90.2:9000 but when I try that route with traefik, i get a 404 error.
I have forwarded all ports to the server IP, and like I said, I got the certificates in the .json file. I have all of the DNS records pointing to the house WAN IP. I have CLI'd my ports opened on Linux, and i have even tried opening my ports on my host Windows machine just to see if I could get any incoming traffic. When I go to the sites through the domain setup (portainer.example.com or traefik.example.com) I get a CloudFlare error saying cannot connect to the serve. I am running out of ideas on how to get this up and running.
I have had the thought of just firing up Portainer on its own, then try and set up Traefik through a stack on there but that will be my next attempt if I cant figure this out here.
