Xiaomi Redmi Note 7: Only some games work from external SD, others need launching from internal SD memory

I tried to launch with ppsspp 1.8 the 2 iso of both God of War games on Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (Adreno 512) but a black screen appears right after the startup. Games are recognized (with info about region, rom serial, background image and sound) , so I doubt this to be a problem related to iso corruption. I also tried previous apk versions of iso/ppsspp proved working by others (youtube tutorials), but they still show black screen. Changing UI language has no effect (that I am aware of). Is this an expected behaviour, because of updated drm policies for example (but what about old apk not working then)? I am using android 9 with miui 10.

I succeeded in launching my own iso(s) from the internal sd card of the phone. For some reasons, only few games, such as ridge racer, work on extSD. Battlefront II , GOW and others must be located on the internal memory.

Correction Sir Redmi 7 and Redmi Note 7 are different 🙂

Maybe it's permissions and the folder the "some games" were in mattered?

I have that phone(redmi note 7 / global version) and tested both GOW games just now, both were running fine with default settings while placed on extSD card:
