Translation
The Admin page, Account creation form and Emails can now be translated at this weblate instance.
@Killianbe I see you've translated your form.html
already, would you be willing to redo it with this new format? Once you've done it you won't need to keep modifying the html every time theres an update.
That's good think! but can you add path custom to .json ? i can translate to general french for you, but i need to total custom for my website :)
fr-fr.json
{ "meta": { "name": "Francais (FR)" }, "strings": { "pageTitle": "Créer un compte Jellyfin", "createAccountHeader": "Création du compte", "accountDetails": "Détails", "emailAddress": "Email", "username": "Pseudo", "password": "Mot de passe", "createAccountButton": "Créer le compte", "passwordRequirementsHeader": "Mot de passe requis", "successHeader": "Succes!", "successContinueButton": "Continuer", "validationStrings": { "length": { "singular": "Doit avoir au moins {n} caractère", "plural": "Doit avoir au moins {n} caractères" }, "uppercase": { "singular": "Doit avoir au moins {n} caractère majuscule", "plural": "Must have at least {n} caractères majuscules" }, "lowercase": { "singular": "Doit avoir au moins {n} caractère minuscule", "plural": "Doit avoir au moins {n} caractères minuscules" }, "number": { "singular": "Doit avoir au moins {n} nombre", "plural": "Doit avoir au moins {n} nombres" }, "special": { "singular": "Doit avoir au moins {n} caractère spécial", "plural": "Doit avoir au moins {n} caractères spéciaux" } } } }
Thanks so much for the translation.
You can add a custom language file by placing it in data/lang/form
. For docker, you would need to create your container with -v <path to your custom .json file>:/opt/jfa-go/data/lang/form/<filename.json>
. It won't appear in the settings menu of the web UI as I haven't implemented that yet, so in your config.ini
, in the [ui]
section, add language = <filename without .json>
.
it's ok that's work fine :) !
Can you add a enter for custom json file, because when i update settings, en-us rewrite the config.ini
I'll add that when I get home tonight.
ok, added in 493f10fa364f6895895860fedd2dadbbe13ffec8. It'll show up in the settings menu as whatever you set in the meta { name: "" }
field.
That's work nicely, if you need my help for translate all other page i'm here :)
Hi I would like to translate it to German but there is no option in the weblate instance. How can I do this?
@virusperfect thank you for offering, I've just added German so you should be able to start now. Let me know if you have any problems.
@hrfee thank you, I just finished translating everything. It's probably not perfect but I tried my best :). Will this be added automatically to new releases?
@virusperfect Thanks so much. I've set weblate up to push changes to a separate branch, so they won't be merged into main automatically. This is really just so incomplete translations aren't added. I'll merge them manually tomorrow morning since you've done it all.
@virusperfect There are unstable builds up now in the usual places with the translation if you want to try it out and make sure everything makes sense.
@hrfee Great! Thank you so much for all your hard work! I'm so happy I found this project it's such a great idea and has an even better execution!
So far the translation makes sense to me. There are still some parts of the application that are in English (e. g. when creating an account from an invite). Do you plan to translate these as well? I think it would be nice for users to have a consistent experience.
Edit: Nevermind, I'm stupid. These messages are already customizable :).
@ClankJake, I've just seen your request to add Portuguese on weblate. Sorry I didn't see earlier, it didn't notify me for some reason. I've just changed the settings so you should be able to add the language yourself now if you still want to translate. Thanks!
@hrfee Thank you for adding pt br Sorry for not notifying. For the work you are doing.
I translated the new strings to dutch, but got the feeling some of them might be a bit iffy :-(
As in it's a "correct" translation, but I wouldn't be surprised if the commonly used wording in dutch software (or indeed in Jellyfin) is something else. (Can't remember the last time I actually had any of my own stuff set to use nl
instead of en
)
@hrfee Finalize a pt br translation with improving as it appears something that is not fitting
@rigrig thanks, if we get any other Dutch users they can fix any of the small things. Ask, have you checked jellyfins [weblate])(https://translate.jellyfin.org)? They usually have a glossary of software related words in different languages.
@ClankJake sorry I don't understand. It looks like you've finished translating, is it ready to be used?
@hrfee You can use it without a problem. It was bad and because I was at work and I ended up writing everything wrong up there
@Cornichon420 just saw you changed meta.name
in setup to "Anglais (US)" it was meant to be "Français (FR)". It represents the name of the language file. I should add a note so this is more obvious.
Initially I translated as "Français (FR)", but during proofreading, I doubted then I modified it ... It is obvius, no worry, I'm just kinda tired Corrected ;)
@rigrig, I just noticed the new welcome email hasn't been translated to Dutch. It's only a couple of strings, I'd really appreciate if i could get this into 0.3.0 :)
Thanks, missed those.
could help with indonesian. add pls.
@mezzovide If you login to weblate with Github, you can add the language yourself in each section (see bottom of picture):
Greek completed.
@Marketos-Damigos Great, thanks! I'll commit it now so it will be available in the unstable version right away, and it'll be in 0.3.1 which releases whenever go1.16 does.
