connect fail err="read tcp 192.168.50.163:33994->203.107.53.48:7001: read: connection reset by peer"
Hey there,
I am using the latest version of hpool miner.
For the past hour or so, the miner keeps on failing to connect with hpool servers with this error:
ERRO[2021-07-09T19:56:33+02:00] connect fail err="read tcp 192.168.50.163:33178->203.107.53.48:7001: read: connection reset by peer" f7="{loggers.go,logging.CPrint,156}" f>8="{server.go,websocket.(Server).connect,89}" f9="{server.go,websocket.(Server).check,65}" tid=2114 ?>url="ws://203.107.53.48:7001/x-proxynode/ws"
Tried to restart it, but still having the same issue. My machine has no internet issues whatsoever.
Anyone experiencing a similar problem?
After the link fails, has it been unsuccessful?
I have this issue continuously for the past 2 days. It is outputting this error all the time.
I have tried restarting the process multiple times, but unsuccessfully.
The url it tries to reach is resetting any incoming connections:
http chia-cd1.hpool.com:443
http: error: ConnectionError: ('Connection aborted.', ConnectionResetError(104, 'Connection reset by peer')) while doing a GET request to URL: http://chia-cd1.hpool.com:443/
Has this changed from HPOOL's side? Should I use another one?
I have exactly the same problem. everything worked fine until yesterday evening. in the logs this is what he writes - time = "2021-07-10T13: 07: 03 + 03: 00" level = error msg = "connect fail" err = "read tcp 192.168.1.101:49715->203.107.53.48:3601: wsarecv: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. " f7 = "{loggers.go, logging.CPrint, 156}" f8 = "{server.go, websocket. (* Server) .connect, 89}" f9 = "{server.go, websocket. (* Server). check, 65} "tid = 99 url =" ws: //203.107.53.48: 3601 / x-proxynode / ws "
Under normal circumstances, if the link fails, it will switch the line and reconnect after a few minutes. After the link failed, did you link to the new line?
I don't understand. What's "the new line"?
Btw more people have this issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/hpoolchia/comments/oh71xt/anybody_know_how_to_resolve_this_error_just/
There are multiple lines in miner, which will automatically switch when the link failsThere are multiple lines in miner, which will automatically switch when the link fails
Could you give an example? I don't really understand what you are trying to say. I guess you mean "logs" by "lines in miner".
I just see this when I start thew miner:
It seems to be blocked by the firewall, wait a moment we are building a new line.

Detail log added
I installed VPN, then connected to the Hong Kong server and the miner started working

@BVVSL9
Indeed, tunneling through a Chinese VPN location seems to be working. Same as from a German VPN location
If Miner is offline or there is no task, the firewall may cause the connection to fail. It is recommended to update to version 1.4.2 and choose the Japanese route https://github.com/hpool-dev/chia-miner/releases/tag/1.4.2
@trying2016 thanks
how do you choose the Japanese route?
@trying2016 Thank you for the quick fix. How may I choose the Japanese route? I am using this on linux.
Thanks
It resolved automatically after i restarted my router. Please try that else install a VPN client and tunnel through Japan.

This is being ridiculous ... why would I need a VPN to mitigate this issue. HPOOL please fix it at your side.

Route options is inside x-proxy config webpage. You have to setup proxy in your YAML file first.
Add line: jp in YAML
I don't understand how to set up X Proxy and YAML files. I think that not only I can't do it. Dear developers or anyone who succeeded give examples of files or a detailed guide.
I managed to solve the problem everything works.
So would anyone line to share some info on how to get this working? It's great that BVVSL9 got things working, sharing the info would have been good instead of bragging that his system is working.
Download latest hpool miner. In windows OS when starting gui choose line to Japan, in Linux edit config.yaml and at the and set: line: jp

This worked for me, for anyone confused: There is a line in front under "url:" which already says "line:". Don't edit that line, but instead add a new line at the very end of the file saying line: "jp"
. Now working for me

If you have downloaded latest hpool miner v1.4.2-1 that that line is already at the end of yaml. But yes if you are using older version, then need to add a new line. My proposal is to always use latest one.
I put that "line: jp" and it started to show a scan time. ALthough, the plots are not being shown in my dashbord and miner is shown as offline. What to do now?

It usually takes a couple of hours to show all plotes. I think it is normal.
I am getting the same errors for last few hours. I am not in Asia. I have tried to add line: jp, but it didn't work. Any suggestion?

Have you downloaded latest one miner?
