You may wish to add the following note to the extension advice on the Algernon github pages: After following the instructions, in order to try my new class for Project switching actions, I had to execute the following expressions:

ALGItemProvider initializeItems. ALGInstallation someInstance cleanup.

Also, I notice that the information about extending Algernon in this way is located on two different pages:
