The lazy and very compliant version of this is just adopting web components that they release once they're more full featured in here: https://material-components.github.io/material-web/demos/

I think the idea there is for those components to be cached between google and third parties.

If MDC-Web doesn't eventually support Material 3, I'll split from the library and implement it myself. It would be a lot of work though, so it will be a while before I can make that happen, if that is the path MDC-Web heads down.

I don't MDC will ever support material 3 For material 3 you will need to use the new MWC https://material-web.dev/ https://github.com/material-components/material-web

And with the introduction of web components I don't think it as hard like MDC was
