Enable List Subscription

Open johnbin123 opened this issue 10 years ago • 1 comments

when I check that option it is not staying checked upon save. When I go back into options it is unchecked again. I want to be able to add and remove blocked sites through a text file or code. Can this be done?

Thank you

This works actually. It's not very obvious. But it's easy once you know.

  1. Click "Generate list subscription". A new tab will open showing a file exporting all settings and blocked keywords so far.

  2. Copy the long URL at the top of the tab. It should look something like this,

data:text/plain;charset=utf-8,%23 TINYFILTER EXTENSION%0A%23 LIST ....... .....

  1. Copy this to Notepad and Turn on Word wrap.

  2. Add new blocked keywords into the long data:text URL.

  3. Copy paste into the Chrome tinyfilter extension once you're done.

  4. Check the box "Enable list subscription" After this it works. Note that you won't see all of your new blocked keywords inside the GUI. But test it it works.

Hope this helps!
