Display description of area not id on count list page

Open dt2patel opened this issue 1 month ago • 6 comments

Current behavior

On the count list page we should show the area name not the area id since that is not meant to be human readable. I would go so far as to say that the area field in the server should also only have the name and there is no need to store an id style value since it's not a real enum situation.

@dt2patel Sir, Currently we have some Hard Coded Values in the app as facility areas, are we going to save these on server?

for now I think its ok to map the id to the desc in the app and when we make it dynamic server side we'll manage the list there. what do you think @patelanil

@dt2patel Sir, Discussed this with Anil Sir and @Chinmay2107 Sir, We're thinking of storing area's data of stores in FacilityLocation entity,

  • If all stores have some specific common locations, then we can make FacilityLocation for a VIRTUAL_FACILITY which will be shared by all facilities.
  • Or, we can store areas for each store in FacilityLocation if needed.

Could you please confirm from clients about area details in stores.

Makes sense. I think for now we can make them in the config facility. Most likely we won't have facility specific data to begin with

@Banibrata-Manna Are you going to respond, "I mean Config facility when I said, VIRTUAL_FACILITY"
