clarify the requested fields during the signup process
It leads to confusion when, after clicking to Sign up, the user is asked for their "Name" / "Your Name". When signing up directly through the OSM website, it is much more clear "Display Name" with the help text: "Your publicly displayed username. You can change this later in the preferences." I don't think users realize that the "Name" they provide will become their publicly visible username.

Hi, @danbjoseph thanks for your concern. The name asked during the signup process is just to save on TM. In the case of TM, it's simply the name of the user (first name + last name) which is just saved on TM database and as TM uses OSM username as display name I don't think it's used anywhere other than the user profile. @ramyaragupathy @dakotabenjamin any idea about any other use case of name collected from a user here?
I see. I had not clicked through before and so thought it used that for the OSM account.
If there is any work that needs to be done on this issue, I can contribute.
Hello @Genne23v, I really appreciate your willingness to contribute. Since this is due to a misinterpretation of the terminology, we need to have a thorough discussion before we begin working on this implementation. In the meantime, you can look at other new user-friendly issues.
