Highway areas
Highways tagged as a polygon don't get rendered. Example http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=20/44.41164/8.93143&layers=H
Yup. Same here: http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/12.12578/-86.26567&layers=H
This made me also realize that parking areas are not rendered either. .. As can be seen in my posted link above. . .While this can be seen as an understandable design choice it impacts many areas highly where the parking aisles have not been mapped (which can be seen as an encouragement to map parking isles, of course). .. Anyways. .. Just a note...
The parkings are rendered with a very light contrast #EEE; vs #F7F6F1; ....
This "square" is not rendered: http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/46.32156/4.74487&layers=H
name = "Place de l'Artisanat"
highway = residential
area = yes

But this "square" is rendered: http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/47.02242/4.83706
name = "Place des Halles"
highway = pedestrian
place = square

This "square" is not rendered too: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/46.94145/5.87878&layers=H
name = "Cour des Halles"
place = square
