The theme is very broken in Ubuntu 16.10
Please see the following screenshot. The titlebar spacing/padding appears to be wrong, as well as the window outlines, and the tab buttons (see the Unity Tweak Tool window). The left sidebar in Nautilus looks strange too.
The packaged version doesn't work with gtk 3.20 (used in 16.10).
The github stable release does. Follow the manual installation instructions for the stable release (or wait for the package to be updated).
The github version still leaves much to be desired. Nautilus and all of the other gnome apps that use client side decorations look weird. There are weird 1 pixel whitespaces and the border between the window decoration and the rest is really obvious and ugly.
Any insight on when is the package going to be updated? Vertex is by far the best dark theme I have ever used, but it is broken in debian stretch.
@kpuljek I'm not seeing the same thing as you. Here are my screenshots:
How do you get the window title bar separate from the rest of the window?
That's how GNOME apps look by default under Unity desktop, they don't use the CSD
What about this?
Edit: This is LibreOffice, but it looks like this in all apps that have menubars. Also, in the dropdown menu you can't see which item you have highlighted, and scrollbars have the same color for the scrollbar and the background.
@ppeev, Are you using the .deb? I'm not seeing it from source: Ubuntu 16.10/ gtk 3.20, Unity, Vertex-dark, from commit c861918a7fccf6d0768d45d790a19a13bb23485e .
Scrollbars look ok. Also LO looks ok to me.
Off topic: What theme is the cool orange styled icon syle from @nloyola shows? And also, how can I get the cool looking launcher (on the left, where its centered and correctly aligned)
Launcher showed on advertising images
@theunknownme I'm using Numix Circle for my Icons. I've also install Gnome Shell under Unity desktop.
@nloyola Beatiful icons, and what about the launcher though if it does not annoy you, you know how to set them to the one in display images for the theme and set it up the same?
@theunknownme I'm not sure what launcher that is. Could it be Dash to Dock with the settings tweaked?
