CRX file not working for Chrome 77

When I try to drag-n-drop the crx file to my chrome, it shows the above error.

Details

  • Google Chrome version : Version 77.0.3865.120 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • Distribution (with version): Ubuntu 16.04
  • Desktop environment (with version): Unity
  • Arc version/commit (don't put "latest"): 20170302
  • Installation method (package or source): package

I have the same problem with Chromium 81.0.4044.138 but you can import the folder instead of the .crx via the chrome://extensions page.
