Health Check Not Working

Open avidNewb opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

I have a handful of smart switches running 8.2.0.6 and connected to smartthings. They work perfectly except the status. They always say online once connected no matter what. Even if I unplug them, they all say "ONLINE". Is this expected to work? I'm hoping to monitor and alert when they go offline but they never do.

Upgraded to 9.2.0 and no change

@hongtat Doing some research I came across your comments here:

Smartthings Discussoion

I'm guessing these are related. I either need to be able to get this status working or I need to be able to create an event periodically. I'm guessing I don't understand something about events because I can change attribute values but the only event activity seems to be when the switch is turned on or off. These devices are rarely changed so this isn't sufficient for me. Any thoughts on a fix for the health check or a workaround to have more frequent activity?

Any possibility of having this addressed?

It was recently broken. Unfortunately, I do not have the technical details on how to get it working.
