Flair filter is not working on Reddit redesign
- My browser (copy from https://www.whatismybrowser.com): Chrome 94 on Windows 10
- My RES version: v5.22.5
- Am I in reddit beta (yes/no): No
What's the problem? Flair filtering is not working on the Reddit redesign, works perfectly when going to the "old" Reddit.
Are there any related posts in https://github.com/honestbleeps/Reddit-Enhancement-Suite/issues or /r/RESissues? Couldn't find any from a quick search, but it's very possible.
What other browser extensions are installed? None
Well some features work on the redesign, so it isn't completely unsupported right? This is a feature request to port flair filters along the other features that have already been ported.
It's more of a miracle that those features work than a guarantee. RES will most likely always be built for old Reddit without new Reddit in mind AFAIK.
Not entirely true though not entirely false either. Some limited support for new reddit has been built but not much. The intention was to expand support at some point but non of the maintainers has had much time or energy to work on RES for anything but bug fixes.
I see, thanks for clarifying that. If new Reddit has at least some attention within RES, I'll consider forking and adding support for new Reddit.
I don't see why you would want to fork instead of expanding functionality in RES itself and leverage the excisting userbase. While activity is a bit slow right now the project isn't exactly dead so PRs that add functionality for new reddit wil be welcomed.
