Picture glance card not showing live camera stream

Device model, version and app version

Model Name: 2023 14" Macbook Pro macOS Version: 26.1 (25B78) App Version: 2025.10.0 (2025.1443) Safari Version: Version 26.1 (21622.2.11.11.9)

Home Assistant Core Version

core-2025.11.2

Describe the bug The picture glance card is no longer showing live streams for my video feeds. This worked up thru core-2025.10.4 and stopped working with core-2025.11.x. On safari, the picture glance live view works as expected.

The streams are all Generic Camera rtsp streams. The streams work flawlessly elsewhere (VLC for example). The streams originate from go2rtc running in a frigate container.

To Reproduce I'm not sure how easy it will be for someone else to reproduce except to try something similar: generic camera rtsp stream.

Expected behavior The live stream will be shown.

Additional context

I can't see an errors in either companion app logs or server logs. If there's somewhere I should look, please let me know and I will gladly check for relevant logs.

Mac app doesn't support WebRTC, so it will behave differently from Safari, that's on Apple unfortunately.

Now how it was working for you before I don't know... perhaps it was fallbacking to HLS or MJPEG and now it is not for some reason?

I assume it was HLS because of the video lag. I would use a straight-up browser on Mac except I don't get the native notifications. Browser notifications leave something to be desired. There interesting thing is it works if I revert back to core-2025.10.4. Maybe it's a core bug somewhere?

Indeed, nothing changed in this regard on the App side
