macOS app lacking "Companion App" entry in Home Assistant Settings panel
Device model, version and app version
Model Name: MacBook Pro M1 macOS Version: Sonoma 14.5 (23F79) App Version: 2024.7 (2024.730) Safari Version: Version 17.5 (19618.2.12.11.6)
Home Assistant Core Version
2024.7.3
Describe the bug This is more of a minor UX thing, so labeled it as enhancement rather than bug. The macOS app is lacking a "Companion App" item in Home Assistant's settings screen, it's only available through the menu bar.
While yes, this is Mac-like behavior, I think it makes it harder to discover these settings especially for those who might be newer to/unfamiliar with macOS. But main reason is that it makes it harder for documentation purposes and tutorial guides as people would have to provide another set of instructions just for a small percentage of Mac users.
As an example of what I mean, here's the documentation site currently, if a Mac user followed these instructions they'd see nothing there:
The menu bar stuff is good and should remain, but I don't think it would hurt to also have an entry in the HA settings panel like the iOS and Android apps do. That'd make it possible to have one set of instructions that work for all apps.
To Reproduce Open Home Assistant's settings panel in the macOS app
Expected behavior "Companion App" entry in Home Assistant's Settings panel (consistent with iOS and Android). Menubar stuff would remain, this would just be an additional way of accessing.
