iPad OS - HA app closes when opening URL
Model Name: iPad Pro (11-inch) Software Version: iPad OS 17.2 App version: 2023.7 (2023.471)
Home Assistant Core Version 2023.12.3
Describe the bug When I try to open a link to anything in home assistant through iPadOS (tap on notification with URL, tap on Home Assistant Notification Settings in Settings > Home Assistant > Notifications), the home assistant companion app opens the link and immediately closes.
To Reproduce Send a notification to an iPad:
service: notify.mobile_app_herot
data:
message: message
data:
url: /lovelace/default_view
Tap on the notification. HA closes
Expected behavior This should open the HA app to the default dashboard view, but instead the app closes.
Can you try again using the latest testflight version? https://www.home-assistant.io/ios/beta
Same issue here. The app goes to background when a notification contains a link to a dashboard. Tried with the URI action, same behavior (with the extra annoyance of having to long press the notification). If you open the app manually afterwards, the linked dashboard is displayed. The link is working and loading the selected dashboard but sends the app to background straight away, giving the impression that the app exits. If no url or URI is provided the app opens in foreground but of corse displays whichever dashboard you last opened. Tried with the testflight beta, same result.
same problem here!
I have the same issue on my iPad. Any chance this will get fixed soon?
Same issue. Companion App 2024.6 (2024.696), iPadOS 17.4.1
