iOS 15 - Shortcut send current location

Open robbinonline opened this issue 4 years ago • 15 comments

Shortcut iOS 15 for sending current location is not working. After the shortcut is executed there is a pop-up where Home Assistant asks for send which location instead of the current location.

I believe this may be a Shortcuts bug where it isn't getting location itself - if you clear its location permission (ask next time) it just errors instead. Will keep an eye on this for iOS 15 release though.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work in the iOS 15 RC.

Played with this a little this morning and found that the Update Sensors action is also failing and produces error 1307 in INCExentensionErrorDomain image

This still to me seems like an iOS/Shortcuts bug. For example, in the simulator this works fine:

You could also work around this for now by doing:

This does appear to work on device for me.

Still having this issue with the official ios15 release

Edit: The workaround seems to work fine for me. Thank you!

I'd like to echo this. Though it doesn't seem 100% consistent. The first time I tried to repo it happened right away, but every time after it worked.

To replicate:

  1. Create an automation for "When: Time of Day" (for a minute from now) "Do: Update Sensors"
  2. Let a minute pass
  3. See the notification triggered to see if it displays INCExentensionErrorDomain

Hi, same here: created a shortcut to update sensors when putting in charge. The service works but produces error 1307 in INCExentensionErrorDomain. I disabled notifications but's not an elegant way for me... Any suggestions?

Wanted to chime in that I haven't seen these errors (while connected to the correct wifi) for at least 2+ months now for the Update Sensors shortcut action.

Spoke too soon. Unfortunately I'm getting the error rather frequently again after updating the iOS App and Server to 12.2021.

Do you have a second Home Assistant instance set up in the app which is currently unreachable when you see the error?

Only 1 server is currently set up in the app. I'm continuing to troubleshoot - there's definitely an increase. Things on my mind:

  1. Making sure it's connected to the right wifi network
  2. Making sure the server is responsive at the time of the shortcut running

I'm thinking I've got 1 & 2 resolved with the issue still occurring, but I'll keep troubleshooting.

I’ve seen this error both on WiFi and on cellular (with HA Cloud).

Thanks, I was having this issue, but it’s because my 3rd HA is unreachable at the moment. Removed it from the app and all is well again.

Somehow made this error code stop after force closing the Home Assistant app in the multitasking drawer of my phone

opening the app again after force close doesn't start the error again it seems
