Confirmed to work with Nanoleaf Skylight but new instructions needed to get it into pairing mode

Open MrBrown666 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Feedback

The recently released Skylight only has a reset button, but no power button. So the usual way to get it into paring mode in order to request a token does not work. Just found out by some trial and error that turning it off an on again will set it to paring for some time, so requesting a token via API as well as setting it up with this integration works. Please add "Skylight" to the list of supported Nanoleaf devices and modify the instructions.

Update: The API documentation was updated by Nanoleaf:

5.1. Authorization ... "Please note that Nanoleaf Skylight does not have physical on-off button, so the OpneAPI authorization window has to open through the Nanoleaf app. On the Nanoleaf mobile app, you can open that window by going to the device settings of your paired Nanoleaf Skylight and clicking on "Connect to API"."

I can confirm that everything else works flawless so far, so only updated instructions in the user prompts should be required.
