Map card always showing Amsterdam as location

Describe the issue you are experiencing

Dear, I use HA already for more than 8 years. Last month I noticed that my map card shows always a map of Amsterdam with no entities visible, instead of the map with the device trackers visible. I was waiting untill the 2025.12 update, hoping this would resolve the issue, but alas no luck. Could you please have a look at this issue? It shows up in PC webbrowsers and the mobile app. Kind regards, Robin

Describe the behavior you expected

I expect to see a map of a part of Belgium (home location), with the device entities at their respective location. Now I see a map of Amsterdam (never been there) with no device tracker entities. Even if I scroll to the correct location, the device trackers don't show up.

1. Log in into Home Assistant (browser or mobile app)
2. Check the card map
3. See it showing a map of Amsterdam with no entitites visisble. ...

It's probably set in your configuration yaml or something: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/homeassistant/

@silamon , it is correctly configured in my configuration.yaml file. When we are home, the person entities show this correctly. Also leaving home or coming home still triggers the automations. It started a month ago, with no changes to the configuration.

Are you sure you tested with safe mode? There have been similar reports before of map card being broken by use of custom cards. Sounds very similar.

Yes, I am sure. I don't have any custom cards. Only a theme downloaded from HACS

Usually this happens if there's an error loading the map. Please check your browser console or logs for issues.
