Describe the issue you are experiencing

After I see notification in Settings menu, I get there and click update notification. Then, I select to make local backup before update and click update. In UI nothing happens, but if I click button again, I get error about something, that backup manager is busy and so on. The problem is, that there is no visual feedback to "Update" button click for a really long time. My system is i5 8600/32GB, so this is certainly not delay because of lack of resources. If I don't select backup creation, delay is shorter, but it is still there (we are talking about several seconds even in this case). There should be a visual feedback for the user to understand, that button was pressed and user should wait for some process to finish. There is some animation now, but it starts way too late, after several seconds.

Describe the behavior you expected

"Update" button click shows clear indication, that button was clicked and update is on the way, so user should not think if his mouse is malfunctioning and try to click the button again

Steps to reproduce the issue

Click on the "Update" button in a update pop-up

I second this demand! This is a basic feature for any GUI to give instant feedback to the user that the action has been taken into account, and lock any further clicks. For a complete backup, it can take up to minutes. This is confusing, and as the action can be resent each time we click on the button, this can lead to severe problems. Fortunately, the backup procedure checks if there is already a backup in progress, but if another process does not... It is a severe bug, and should be addressed in priority. The fix should be very simple → lock the button as soon as the user clicks on it, not when some process takes place.
