Switch Internet Access no longer available

Open daloki83 opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

The problem

Hi,

it looks like its the same problem --> #83209

I have two important devices (1xPC via LAN and 1x iPad via Wifi) which i want to control the internet access. But Randomly these switches will only be available sometimes. It seems that this is also independent if the device is on or offline.

Using a FritzBox7590AX

Same Situation in latest Beta: Home Assistant 2023.6.0b4 Supervisor 2023.06.0 Operating System 10.2 Frontend 20230601.1 - latest

Even the device is offline (but connected and ready for WOL) it should be possible to trigger this switch....as it is in FritzBox Webfrontend...or do i miss something?

I've got the same issue. I know it has been there since at least a year, but i didn't bother much since i'm using very few device trackers and internet-access-switches.

I am also getting the following warning on a daily basis:

Logger: homeassistant.helpers.entity
Source: helpers/entity.py:754
First occurred: 26. Juni 2023 um 22:53:52 (6 occurrences)
Last logged: 05:53:23

Update of switch.fritz_box_7590_wi_fi_xxx_gast is taking over 10 seconds

Could that be related?

@propi62 which fritzbox model and fritzos version do you use (maybe your version is to old as in #97543)?

mib1185 avatar Aug 06 '23 14:08 mib1185

devices are connected and available in ha: image i have the FRITZ!Box 7583 with FRITZ!OS: 7.56 my ha is: Home Assistant 2023.8.1

the problem startet 2023.08.04 at 19.00 Uhr. maybe after updateing homeassistant (i dont know exactly)

propi62 avatar Aug 06 '23 15:08 propi62

Hi @propi62

please enable debug logging, restart HA and provide the home-assistant.log To do so add the following to your configuration.yaml:

logger:
  default: info
  logs:
    homeassistant.components.fritz: debug

Further if possible please download and provide the diagnostics data for this integration.

Note: it is better to drag the log into the comment (which will add it as an attachment) and not copy paste as it is hard to read logs in GitHub.

mib1185 avatar Aug 06 '23 15:08 mib1185

Hi @propi62 does the issue still persists even with 2023.8.2 ? if yes, did you already try the cleanup service?

mib1185 avatar Aug 17 '23 18:08 mib1185

Still persists in 2023.8.2 Already tried cleanup. Device shows at home but online switch does not work.

propi62 avatar Aug 17 '23 18:08 propi62

what exactly mean "online switch does not work"? please post the detailed state information of the failing switch entity (from developer tools -> states)

i mean the possibility to turn Internet ON and OFF on specific Devices. (kids tablets, TV's, etc) i deleted the integration and installed again. does still not work. the online switches are all turned off, but internet is working on this devices.
